This is a walk for people staying somewhere in that catchment area that day. I’m running walks during the Swanage Blues Festival. This means that you will need to arrange accommodation in Swanage or if you have your own transport, somewhere nearby in that case. Trains run frequently from London Waterloo to Wareham, from where you take the bus and the journey takes all morning and most of the afternoon the previous day.
Equipment: For this pre-Spring walk, please wear walking boots (preferable to walking shoes). Full length pants (denim stays soggy and cold when wet) jumper/fleece or quilted/puffer jacket; warm hat, gloves. Bring waterproof jacket, overtrousers, backpack (to put them in when it gets too warm), picnic lunch, munchies, at least 1.5L of drinking fluids/water, torch, whistle and mobile phone, money, paper tissues, hand sanitiser.
